Udhampur, June 17 (KNO) : 48th Raising Day of Northern Command was celebrated with Military decorum and solemnity at Udhampur. On the occasion, Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh, Army Commander, Northern Command, paid homage to the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice by laying a wreath at the Dhruva Shaheed Smarak.
On the occasion, the Army Commander as per a statement issued to KNO exhorted all ranks to rededicate themselves to safeguard National integrity and continue to perform their task with fortitude, dedication and professionalism.
He extended his good wishes to the families and Defence civilian staff of the Command and complimented the troops for their steadfastness, resolve and exemplary devotion to duty. To mark the occasion, a blood donation camp was also organised earlier on 15 Jun 19 at North Star Clinic. The camp saw a large turnout of volunteers donating blood & registering at Blood Bank for future donations.(KNO)
